Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are in the preliminary stages of organizing our Outdoor Education Sailing Trip. This field trip is scheduled for October 17-21st, 2018. During this trip our aim is to develop each student’s confidence in alternative environments, general socio-emotion skills, scientific knowledge, specific sailing and out-tripping skills, and appreciation for the outdoors. We will be traveling to Victoria by plane on October 17th, leaving the city by 7:30 am and returning to Calgary by 9:30 pm on October 21st. The field trip will have a cost associated with it to pay for transportation, service provider. The number of students who attend will significantly influence the cost. The cost of the trip per student will be in the range of $1900-$2100. Once enrollment numbers have been confirmed, a final cost will be given for the trip. Hi All,
Here is a few reminders to make sure we all ready to go: 1. Get some sleep tonight - we have a big day tomorrow!! 2. Arrive at the airport at 6 am, entrance 3 in the domestic departures area 3. Please bring some snacks for the first day, lunch is not until 12-12:30 pm 3. Don't forget your journal! (including any extras you would like to bring - colour, tape/glue etc.) 4. When you arrive check-in with mrs. Teasdale if you are sailing A Fine Madness or Mr. Van Kleeck if you are Sailing The Duen - We will give you your lanyards and it is officially a field experience!
